personaly i would go with a crowbar. about 3 foot one would give you alot of
skull crashing power. axe would be ok in a pinch but swinging it would throw
you of balance leaving you vunerable. trench spike mite be my number 2 out of
your choices but unless you know who to talk to or how to make one then your
screwed

I Think a Halligan bar would be good in an open area, but an ice pick or
hatchet would be good in close combat

i personally think a aluminum or metal baseball bat because it is light and it
is, mostly, unbreakable

oooh right. well then a chainsaw. even though it makes a lot of noice it cant
break but it can run out of gas. i dont know about mele weapons. i would rather
just use some firearms.

the chain can also break easily because its not designed to cut through bone,
you want something silent, strong, and sturdy, and doesn't require fuel or
ammo, remember a melee is just a back up

After alot of thought about it im thinking a smooth bladed bayonet about 7 in
with a crowbar or Halligan bar for primary with a trench spike for close range

seriously, just cave in and get a gun, you want to keep them as far away as
possible, try a .22 because its the smallest caliber you can get, so its the
quietest and the magazine you can have in it has no restriction so you can very
well find a 200 round mag and the ammo is usually real easy to come by.... its
the assassins caliber of choice there is no real need for a primary melee and a
secondary melee unless the secondary is just like a knife or something exremely
small, but you will then have to carry a sharpening stone with you to keep it
top shape

i actually feel better having a melee weapon with me. more reliable and less
maintinence can become very handy sometimes. and without a large amount of
ammo, dangerous. i jsut feel better with and nice large metal bat in my hands
wen facing a ton of zombies. but a gun wouldn't be to bad alot of the time.

oh don't get me wrong, I will definately have a melee weapon on me at all
times, but I will have a gun to use until I cant use it anymore then I switch
to the melee and fight like that. Guns are always better than bats, or knives,
or crowbars, or Halligan bars. Why do you think all wars have guns, I would
love to be in a fire fight where I had a gun and the other guys had swords or
something, the pwnage would be awesome indeed |

i can agree jsut completly destroying a mob of zombies would be VERY pleasing
but i would enjoy some getin down and dirty sometimes. slit a few throats, tabs
a few eyes. just sometimes |

If you're going to use a melee weapon, use something that has many uses. You
need to use it for more than brain smashing for example construction etc

If your using a tool that has many uses beside being used as a weapon be sure
that you do not sacrifice any of the functionality of it being used as a
weapon. It would be preferable, in my opinion, to have a decent weapon that
only functions as a weapon than to have a very useful tool that also can be
used as a weapon, but not a very good one. I will also mention the importance
of training since a great weapon in unskilled hands will lose much of its
greatness. This is of course important for both melee and ranged weapons and I
would strongly suggest to anyone that thinks just having a weapon is enough
that they train and become proficient with whatever weapons they feel they will
be using, seems obvious but as the old saying goes common sense isn't exactly
common.

ActivityRank: 100 Well if your vary well trained then a ninja sword would be your best friend in combat.
If your not the i would use an axe or a chainsaw if that counts. |

I'd go with a crowbar if you needed a melee weapon. You can fight with it, and
it can also be used to break locks, pry open doors, and many other things as
well. It is the ultimate melee weapon/tool. I'd also grab a big sheath
knife. |

an army style folding spade would work well and ucan useit for other things but
personally i would go with a good machete or diving knife. |

i think one of those large fire axes would be best, those things have some
power in them. plus great for breaking open doors, walls, etc.

ActivityRank: 546 I would say a hatchet or a Louiville Slugger with a wieght on it. Chainsaw I would say sure I mean sooner or later no more gas although you could switch to wood feul NIE or Ellis know what I am talking about if they watched it. The Colony |
