Zombie Survival

You wake up in the morning to the sound of car alarms and sirens. What do you do?

1. Turn on the tv and go to your local news channel.

2. Grab the nearest weapon that could destroy a brain or dicapitate a head.

After you have done these steps, it will be time to call your local law enforcement and ask what is going on. If they say that people are rioting and trying to bite people or no one has answered the phone, then now is the time to do these next few steps.

3. Grab some water, nonparishables (should last you 3 + days), and some medical supplies.

4. Call your anyone closest to you to see if they are alright.

5. Double check what you have and put it into a back pack.

After you do these steps take a peek outside through a window or the door. If you see:

1. People stumbling around and trying to eat people.

2. People on fire.

3. Blood everywhere.

If you see any of the following, then don't be niave. Zombies are rising and you have one job, survive.

Vehicles Best For A Zombie Outbreak

1. Hummer

2. Pick up truck

3. Diesle

4. Garbage Truck

/shrug. What the hell. Here, take the one I posted a while ago.

In order to completely be prepared for any disaster, you need to have your ultimate weapon armed and ready to go. As you have probably guessed, your brain is that ultimate weapon. Unfortunately there is too much for you to memorize to be a super survivor like MacGyver. Sorry, you’re just not cool enough.

There are many objectives you could pursue for countless scenarios, but you have to make a decision and stick with it to create an increased chance of success. This is why it is absolutely essential that you prepare tools to assist you in your struggle for success. Though there are many tools that will assist you in both short and long term issues you may run into, I am only showing you how to create a Survival Map in this article. Fret not, I will be posting more articles in the near future on how to create cost efficient tools to assist you in keeping your brains safe from harm.

To start off, I want to forewarn the reader that the effectiveness of the Survival Map is dependent on the work that is put into its creation. This tool needs your dedication to unlock its true potential. It may seem easy while reading about how to make it, but when you start its creation you will see its difficult nature unfold. The more time and hard work you place into this tool - the more your tool will exponentially improve your survival efficiency.

Notice: Maps are a general location marker. Most maps do not offer terrain differences or pin-point accuracy. A map is used for general location position in accordance with landmarks.

To create a Survival map you need  the following resources:

[*]National/State/City Street Map - preferably laminated
[*]Sharpie Marker - different colors strongly suggested
[*]Transportation

You can find National Street Maps online or at any major truck stop. It is wise to purchase a laminated map to be able to preserve it from the elements. Sharpie markers can be purchased at any gas station or major stores. Using color markers is a good idea for easy identification of locations. Transportation can be anything to help you move. Walking is a great form of transportation to use, but distance may prove to be an issue if you choose this healthy method of scouting.

After you have the Street Map and Sharpie Marker, start by marking your safe house and work/school. Using your safe house and work/ school as a beginning point, start marking the many resource buildings within a small radius of those locations. When marking these resource buildings, mark them as small symbols or letters on your map in the correct location on the map (i.e.- Wal-Mart as “w”; Target as “t”; Gas stations as “g” or a triangle). After you decide what symbols to use for the various locations, it is important that you make a Key listing of what all the symbols represent. If you do not make a Key, the meaning of the map is wasted. After all, this is suppose to be a helpful tool and not just one more thing you have to memorize. Plus, look at the grim idea that another survivor may stumble upon your corpse and find your map. Not only are you helping yourself, but you may be helping someone else.

After you have marked all of the locations within your direct location (and made your Key), it is time to expand the radius. It may take you several months to mark down all of the resource buildings in your area. After you have scouted and successfully marked all of the resource buildings within a 50 mile radius of your main location(s), it is time to get more complicated. Scouting within this same radius, find all of the possible safe locations that you see fit to use in case your safe house or work/ school was destroyed during the first few stages of the disaster.

Notice: There may be residents within the buildings that you have marked as a potential safe house. It is suggested that you first go speak with the current residents to secure relations with these persons prior to a disaster occurring in your location.

Now you should have a marked map with all resource buildings and possible safe houses within a 50 mile radius of your current residents. If you don’t, you are foolish. And jeopardizing your life and the lives of others for not preparing properly.

Below I am suggesting some standards of what to mark on your Survival Map:

[*]Safe House Possibilities
[*]Gas Stations
[*]Malls
[*]Stores
[*]Warehouses
[*]Factories
[*]Storage Facilities
[*]Car Sale Lots
[*]Car & Tire Repair
[*]Hospitals
[*]Pharmacies

This concludes the How-To for Survival Maps.

(107) A WORD TO THE ZOMBIE WARRIOR

One sinister night you’ll awake in a fright

To the sound of the scratching of fingers.

Don’t open the door like so many before

Where the odor of dying still lingers.

But harness your gun and get ready to run

With a purpose that’s truly tenacious.

You’ll find your success if you don’t acquiesce

And your tactics are raw and audacious.

Believe what I say, by the breaking of day

   You had better be high on a tether;

A place of retreat with a stash that’s complete

And be ready to fly like a feather.

Be mobile, be wise, and don’t look in their eyes,

   Just be nimble and quick on the trigger;

And pray that you’ll find some more of your kind

To pursue them with unflinching vigor.

Your knowledge and skill, to track and to kill,

Will leave them all brainless and bleeding.

At last if you’re strong you shall right what is wrong

And resume the old life you were leading.

The following story is a book I am working on. The italics is a journal entry like a voice that's at the beginning of a movie. If there is anything I need to fix or anything I can improve send me a message . I hope you enjoy

Chapter 1

Journal Entry 1 04/15/2012

It happened two months ago, the outbreak is now a reality. It all started when a meteor landed in a cemetery near a small town in the west. I and ten others are holding down a small town in the east. We're using the water towers as sniper posts. The three water towers in the town is a safe zone. It is a mere triangle. When the outbreak started, everyone scattered. Some people were smart and barricaded themselves in their homes. These things are getting smarter every day. They are starting to communicate with each other. They don't eat you right away anymore. They rob, rape, and then they eat you. If your female it's much worse. We have radio contact at all times.... "Jenny, let's go we're going scouting," Brady said.

“Where we going this time Brady,” Jenny asked as she was sitting uncomfortably in the passenger seat of the pickup truck. There were four others in the back of the pickup truck. Armed with ak 47s and shotguns. “We’re going to a supermarket about five minutes north of here.” “We need some medicine and non perishables.” As the supermarket comes into view the four in the back load their weapons and grab their stuff bags. As they pull up into the parking lot, they heard screaming coming from inside. “Move,” Brady yelled. As the group went in they heard moaning and yelling coming from the back of the store. They started to creep towards the back of the store and saw a zombie trying to go after a guy with a knife. Emilio, the guy with a shotgun ran up to the zed and put a slug in the back of its head. The guy with the knife looked like he was fatigued. He was wearing blue jeans with a hole in the left knee, a black t shirt, and some combat boots. “Thanks for helping me, names Jeff.”

Brady looked distraught. “What the fuck are you doing here alone?” Brady yelled. “Oh, I’m not alone.” He then pulled open the freezer and inside was three more. “This is Jack, Clair, and Mike. We came here looking for food when that thing came in.” “Why don’t you four come with us to our town, it’s safe,” Brady offered. The ten got medicine and got in the back of the truck. As they started to drive off, a zombie came out of nowhere and attacked Jenny. A shot rang out and the zombie dropped to the ground. Mike had shot the zombie with his 9mm.  “Thanks,” Jenny said as she took out her .45 auto. Time had gone to shit ever since they rose. There are not any survivors anymore. As they made their way back, they saw smoke coming from the west. “What the hell’s that?” Jenny said.
