bat, if you have a knife, they're going to take you down too, its close combat, with a bat, you can swing it, and turn they're head into mush

Yeah this is a pretty easy ? Only people who know nothing about zombies would use a knife. I would rather have a bat. But dont get me wrong a knife is allways good to have.

I say a crowbar would be the best preference for myself since the weapon gives me a tool and a deadly blunt or pointed piece of iron this would help me pry open windows and doors while still being somewhat defensive. But if it really came down to it, I would unquestionably decide on the knife. Depending on how sharp the blade is.

No matter, you should always have a knife on you at all times. It is an extremely valuable tool for survival. As for using a knife on zombies, I would strongly urge against getting within arms range, no matter what type of zombie you are preparing for.
