Drive unless it isn't available. Physical strain should be kept to a minimum to reserve your strength for a time that you will need to exert yourself.

I agree with NIE you should drive if available. Whether its a motor cycle or a car or whatever it will get you a lot further with a gas or diesel engine than just being on foot. Of coarse there will be situations when the roads are completely blocked and only then should you hoof it. Remember folks you will get tired.

i agree with bluewolf25 and nie always drive if possible and austin dont ever use zombieland as an example.

actually, in real life, during the real zombie apocalypse, you shouldn't be a hero, it will just get you killed, but it might get you a proper funeral....if your body can be recovered

I would drive as long as I had a working vehicle and fuel. Mainly so I can haul more supplies, people, and travel further/faster.

Im with zuel on this one i would drive if i have to go some where but if its just me and a few zeds i would just have a little fun and make a game and see how many i could kill in a few min.

3: an object of extreme admiration and devotion

By definition, it would be a great asset to be a hero. What other type of a person would be the leader? A Coward?

just don't be a hubristic hero and you're good. just because you can stop your car to fight the zombie hoard doesn't mean you should. being able to fight is good, but being able to avoid fighting is better when it comes to survival.

Being a great leader is better. You have the ability to avoid a group of zombies to later be faced with them is potentially more hazardous then dealing with them first.

that is true, though i guess it would vary on a situation by situation basis. i was thinking more along the lines of going out of your way to kill the zombies not for any tactical advantage but just because you think you can. that's the hubris our "heroes" would need to avoid.

I completely agree and concur that this method would not be wise, but as the world is - we must accept that there will indeed be people of that nature in an event such as this.
