1911 model pistols are very reliable and any glock is. 45 caliber is my
favorite along with a 12 gauge shotgun. mossberg 500 will do nicely and a ar15
in a .308caliber will be good if you keep it clean and 338 lapua mag for long
distance. berret makes a nice one

hmm... the AR15 has the same make as an m16 right, I did not know it fired a
.308(7.62mm) caliber I know its meant to fire 5.56 and it can be converted to
fire a few different size rounds, but I would keep it with 5.56 because that is
NATO standard, the army will roll in using that caliber, but then again 7.62 is
the most common size in the world cuz its fired from an AK as well

i'd perfer and m16 with a shotgun attachment make it light wait and not need to
carry around to much weapons

the shotgun attachment makes it front heavy and more akward to carry, as well I
believe it is only single shot (right?), so you have to reload between every
shot, also the purpose of having 2 weapons is in case one gets jammed, broken,
lost, stolen, or anything; that way you still have a back up.

thats alot more weight tho, so you have to think if its even worth it with 2

WOULD? or DO you? Would- Probably an AK47 chambered in 5.56 if I had my way,
all the ruggedness and reliability of an AK but with all of the ammo of the
M4/Mini 14. Don't forget that when it happens, there will be at least some
military presence and when slain they will have 5.56 ammunition on their person
not 7.62. For a pistol I'd love to get either a GLOCK 21 or a Colt 1911 in .45
ACP, both are crazy reliable, and the GLOCK can be sent into the pits of Hell
and still fire. DO- I personally carry 1 1934 91/30 Mosin Nagant that I'm
turning into a Scout rifle. The ammunition is incredibly cheap at 440 rounds
for $100 on some sites and 880 for $150 on others. At almost 6 feet with the
attached bayonet it becomes a deadly spear, it's pretty accurate, kicks pretty
hard though. It's bolt action which is good and bad, good because I won't rip
through ammo like an auto or semi would, but bad because in those hot spots you
can't put out a great amount of firepower. For a sidearm I'm currently unarmed
since I'm 19, I have a reproduction 1858 Remington single action revolver, but
to convert it to fire cartridges is too pricey for me right now. So I'm
considering selling it, and buying a Nagant revolver and buying the .32 ACP
conversion cylinder.

the army will have a 7.62 round because thats what the canadian army fires from
the C6, but I'm pretty sure the american military has the same size round
because it packs a bigger punch so its better through walls and armor, but I
rather enjoy the C7(american M16) it first 5.56 as well as the C9(M249/SAW)
because that also fires 5.56 and its a fucking beast, it fires 200 round boxes
and can also fit magazines, learning military weapons will be helpful because
it will probably be the most comon in your area

Realisticly at the very begining of the apocolypse, which is the most critical,
you will only have with you what you have prepared. so relying on having army
guns if you dont already own it isn't a good idea. Basicly whats going to
happen is something is going to trigger panic. the news telling you about it,
communications going down, or you infact being overrun by zombies in your own
home. in this short period of time you have, you will have to make due with
what you have. if you dont have guns, your going to have to go mele. or get in
your car and get the hell out of civilization. But talking guns, stick to what
you can realisticly get. Like lets say you live near a gun store. Great! how
are you going to get there without a gun. So if you own guns. your set. but if
you dont... well. go buy a gun. As for me. i dont have any sort of high powered
military gun you guys are talking about. what i have. (because i live in a farm
town, and me and my dad like to hunt) is shotguns, rifles, and pistols. my dad
owns around 20 shotguns. which i can arm my friends. 10 rifles, and 10 pistols
for people that can actually shoot good with a pistol. we have plenty of ammo.
and my favorite shotfun is a semi auto one. so i dont have to pump so fast
zombie killing. and a .44 mag. But i do have a question... How well would a .22
work? nice scope, Big clips, Lots of ammo, and semi auto. but would they
affectivly kill a zombie?

Yes it would. the .22 And my step dad is a cop for our small town and he has 2
shot guns, a .30-.30 winchester, A .357 Mag/revolver?, a 9 mm and a hunting
rifle. and a .22 with 250 rds or more for each.

The Mossberg International 702 Plinkster. Sweet, simple, good. Rember you only have to put a well aimed round to the brain to kill a zombie. Consider lightweight and durable firearms. Semi auto seems to be the best because it allows for proper aiming and being rapid fire enough for hordes and human opponents. Think WW2 era weapons like the M1 Caribine http://www.impactguns.com/store/602686313087.html Sidearms are NOT PRIMARY WEAPONS !!! you cannot dual wield them ether. I like the North American Arms .22 http://www.naaminis.com/magnum.html Its very compact and chambered in .22
THe guns that you chose are a personal choice so choose wisely. |
