Z-Day Plan

Phase 1: First, I would call my pre-set survival team, most probably won't believe me but I have evidence to support a Z-day situation, and the news would probably be covered with news of the virus, and have them head over to my house with whatever useful supplies they may be able to bring(weapons, ammo, food, water, etc.)

Phase 2: Next, I'll send my team to local, small stores, gas stations, pawn shops, if Target, Wal-Mart, all major retail stores haven't been overturned by the common man or woman. One thing I forgot to mention is that before I go get the supplies, I'd head down my street to a U-Haul rental and take two or three U-Haul trucks.

Phase 3: After getting at least a weeks worth of supplies and bringing them to my home, my back yard is filled with gardening materials such as soil, tools, and seeds. I would build a few troughs to plant the seeds, and put those on my roof, or maybe even build them on the roof(so we don't have to drag them up the stairs and ladder). I also have my own fresh water creek in my backyard. Hopefully the zombie population in my yard wont be too high so we can take often trips to get fresh, clean water.

Phase 4: My team and I will start barricading my home. I have a wall around my entire yard, which will be my first line of defense. First I'd work on making sure the wall and fences around my home were sealed, or at least barricaded. I have about 1/4 of an acre of building supplies that could be used as well as a workshop to help. We'd also scavenge stone and wood from the drive way. After that, we'd work on digging trenches, as a recommendation by the Zombie Survival & Defense Wiki. The trenches would be created around all areas that will be needed to help us survive on my property. Barricading the downstairs of my home will be nearly impossible, so I plan on destroying the stairs somehow(their made of granite) and barricading the few doors there are on the second floor. Windows aren't a problem for me since they have iron bars on the outside(originally for decoration). I also have three rope ladders in my attic which could be used to get up and down from the safety of my second floor.

Phase 5: Phase 5 involves simply saving up supplies, and trying to survive for at least a month long period. By then, zeds will be weaker, slower, and just over all easier to get past.

Phase 6: Phase six involves me and the rest of my survival team packing up what we have in the previously used U-Haul trucks and heading to the USS Hornet, a WWII aircraft carrier with only two accessible ways to get on the ship. One and very obvious one is by air, another and more practical way is by two extendable bridges that reach from the docks to the ship entrance. These bridges are extended from both the ship and the docks(so part of the bridge is connected to the ship, another is connected to the docks). We could simply leave the dock side of the bridge extended and extend the other half when needed. I also know of a few other people that will be making the Hornet their hide away. I will hopefully be able to communicate with them as I make plans to reach the carrier and as I'm approaching it so they can extend their half of the bridge.

*My plan is not a final solution. I will be editing it probably until the day comes that I must put it into action. Anyone interested in making any suggestions to my plan, or if you wish to include yourself in it, or if you'd like to take ideas from it, please feel free to do so. I am open to any suggestions just so long as I don't get any hateful comments on it.
