Prologue
When it comes to the biological warfare of this Generation, there are many who
have become quite concerned. These "Weapons of Mass Destruction" have
become far too easy to acquire, whether it be by our closest allies or worst
enemies. With these concerns in mind, the Organization known as "ZESST"
has begun research, which will focus on the possibility of an apocalypse of
zombies.
The Virus Itself
The “Z" in the Virus' name was derived from the word Zombie, and was very
difficult to examine effectively, or for that matter, be understood by the
Scientists at ZESST. After putting much time and effort towards this Virus, the
Scientists eventually reached a breakthrough of sorts, ultimately allowing
those who had worked with the Virus to find out more about it. It was
discovered that the behavior of the Virus itself was extremely aggressive, when
contact was made with Homosapiens eighty five prescient of the time.
After examining Virus Z more carefully, the Scientists established that the
aggressive tendencies of the Virus could cause symptoms such as difficulty
recalling events, not recognizing familiar faces, or having unexpected temper
tantrums, if a Human became infected through physical contact. In addition to
displaying side-effects similar to that of Dementia, it was discovered that the
Virus causes mental disorientation, including short and long term memory loss,
short attention span, as well as lost of verbal communication due to the
swelling of the throat.
The ZESST Organization has recently discovered that those who have been
recently infected should display all symptoms listed above eighty five
prescient of the time, as well as coming across as quite aggressive or heavily
disoriented.
Scientists have revealed that many infecties suffer from major diseases
after twenty-four hours of being infected. But one that sticks out the most is
the depression phase that sets in almost immediately after twenty four hours
has passed, becoming extremely hostile in what Scientists believe is emotional
distress. Which ZESST Scientists find rather amazing seeing how infected have
very short attention spans. But the depression doesn't last for long, normally
ranging to about ten or five hours, in this time frame numerous unhealthy
side-effects occur. Subsequently after the depression loses effect. The
infected begins to vomit frequently because of nearly lethal toxins released
into the stomach by the body itself.
After fifteen minutes of vomiting and purging, nausea, dizziness, becoming
faint, and even passing out for nearly a whole day as the infected roam about
indiscriminately while undergoing each side-effect listed above. After six days
of research the ZESST organization thought their zombie investigation was
completed but as the saying goes “You can judge a book by its cover” something
extraordinary happen with virus Z. It was showing more signs of evolving giving
those infected a new form of life.
